I work primarily in a person-centred way, providing a warm, empathic space to help you reconnect with your own inner values and resources. I combine different approaches tailoring my practice to each unique client.
Client-centred or person-centred therapy is based on the principle that a person has the natural tendency toward growth, healing and self-actualization. They act self-destructively or feel bad because of an environment that distorts this tendency. But they can find their own answers to their problems if the right therapeutic environment is provided.
I integrate therapy techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/ Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy with Principles of Positive Psychology, helping you to gently challenge negative thought processes that are impacting your happiness and wellbeing, and arrive at solutions to your problems. At the same time, I help develop effective skills and tools for overall Mental and Emotional health. Emotionally sound people have healthier interpersonal relationships, enhanced productivity and creativity.
I employ some CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) tools and exercises, and help you develop healthy ways of managing these thought processes.
Research consistently shows that “online therapy” is as effective as “in-person therapy”. I tailor my approach to each client believing that each of us is unique and have our own set of values and beliefs. I help my clients to find their true-self through coherent collaborative therapy. Sometimes all we need is to be heard to improve our self esteem.
